1. Mam Haka na Raka

  • All-Poland teenage oriented program planned to activate young people to promote healthy lifestyle and prophylaxis among their family members and other carers.

  • 4 edition of campaign has already set off

  • over 900 schools participated in it so far

  • Since first edition there have been a huge change in media willingness to collaborate and undertake urological cancer issues

In 2010 the campaign was devoted to prostate cancer. The finalist created posters, TV commercial titled:
„Nie krępuj się, zerwij z milczeniem” („Don’t be ashamed, break the silence”)

The campaign was broadcasted in TV, radio and was present in press, outdoor media (posters, banners).

2. ZDROWA WARSZAWA (“HEALTHY WARSAW”)

  • In partnership with local authorities we prepared meetings for local residents, especially man – dedicated to prostate cancer issues and psychological barriers of avoiding medical examination.

  • We offered cost free medical examination in well-known medical center.

  • The outcome of this program:
    – unaware people were able to start anti-cancer treatment
    – rise of awareness
    – psychological effect –not a taboo subject anymore


3. RAK TO NIE WYROK („Cancer is not a life sentence”)

Educational program which aim was to break the stereotype of thinking that „cancer is a sentence” and raise the awareness of the illness us such, methods of treatment and prophylaxis.

4. „Policzmy się…” („Let’s count….”)

  • This campaign was carried out by people who won the fight with cancer and wanted to support others to undertake anti-cancer actions.

  • The main aim was to prove that we can overcome cancer.

  • 10 096 people participated in 2010 edition .

5. 2nd MULTIDISCIPLINARY EDUCATIONAL CONFERENCE

UROLOGICAL MALIGNANCIES: FOCUS ON ADVANCED KIDNEY AND BLADDER CANCER – CURRENT PRATICE MANAGEMENT”

with participation of many international guests and specialists such us:

  • Professor J. M. Fitzpatrick – Royal Academy of Medicine in Ireland

  • Professor Manueli Schmidinger – Medizinische Universität, Austria

  • Polish specialists : dr Iwona Skoneczna, Prof. Andrzej Borówka, prof. Andrzej Szczylik

  • We constantly evolve to create a new value for society and fulfill our mission,

  • We promote foundation values,

  • We communicate through modern channels and media,

  • We want to meet people’s needs.

  • Education of young people and their carers to build awareness of prophylaxis

  • Partnership with other patient’s organizations in Poland and abroad to share experience

  • Psychological support for people who currently fight with cancer and those who were successfully healed

  • Supporting development of medical tests and new methods of treatment

We cooparate with:

2. Honor from citizens

The Foundation was honored a Diploma with thanks from the citizens of Wola district in Warsaw for the organization of “Healthy Wola” which included the educational meetings with inhabitants and medical examinations for man over 50 years old in the field of prostate cancer prophylaxis and health recommendations.

We would like to thank all partners and Wola district civic centre for the cooperation and support.Our mission is to promote cancer prophylaxis every day.The foundation consists of people and is made for people.
